My lord Commander… In this report you will find the details and nature of the army, our scouts spotted in the wastes east of here. they estimate they will be at our gates within a week… I urge you to strengthen our defences, or we will be consumed in a torrent of fire and steel…

In Garrison you will encounter multiple different enemies, one of which, is the mighty Ysarch Empire. The Ysarch Empire are religious fanatics worshipping the Forgefather, a god of death and metal. The Ysarch believes that one day, all men will toil in the forges and workshops of the Forgefather and that the world will be covered in the fiery industry of the Ysarch people.

The Ysarch Empire produces immense amounts of steel and iron, and their warriors wade into battle clad in armour from top to toe. The best of these warriors are called the Iron Guard. These warriors are trained from birth, in order to be able to wear and use their traditional plate armour. On the battlefield, these warriors are armoured hulks, able to withstand even a cavalry charge head-on.

The Iron Guard

Fortunately, the heavy infantry nature of the Ysarch Army, comes at the cost of flexibility. Their vanguard is slow to react and move around on the battlefield, which makes them susceptible to flanking and isolation. In order to effectively combat the Ysarch Empire, you will need to take the fight to them. Engage the weaker infantry and destroy them, before their Iron Guard can get stuck in. Next use cavalry to take out their archer support, and encircle the rest of their forces. Arm your citizenry with whatever you got, and engage the Iron Guard, when you outnumber and outflank them. Even the mightiest of warriors can fall to a peasant, but the chances for it are greater, if the peasants outnumber them 10-to-1

Good luck Commander!
